As part of our commitment to the environment, at QUIMSER we have voluntarily calculated the carbon footprint of our organisation and some of our products, taking 2024 as the reference year. The calculation, carried out with the support of external consultants, has covered scopes 1 and 2 and was conducted following the internationally recognised GHG Protocol methodology.
Quantifying and reducing our carbon impact
This initiative has enabled us not only to understand and quantify our greenhouse gas emissions, but also to identify concrete decarbonisation actions. Our goal is to reduce our environmental impact by 75.9% by 2030 and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
Official recognition of our carbon footprint
As part of this process, we have registered our carbon footprint in the official register of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), currently pending publication on its website.
Leading the way in carbon reduction
According to the data from this Ministry, the result obtained places QUIMSER, within the CNAE C group (Manufacturing industry) and in the small enterprise category, with a carbon footprint 93.03% lower than the sector average.
